           Berdasarkan hasil analisa kualitas air limbah sebelum dan sesudah pengolahan setelah proses berjalan selama 4 (empat) bulan menunjukkan bahwa konsentrasi BOD turun dari 419 mg/l menjadi 16,5 mg/l, konsentrasi COD di dalam air limbah 729 mg/l turun menjadi 52 mg/l, konsentrasi zat padat tersuspensi dari 825 mg/l turun menjadi 10 mg/l, konsentrasi ammonia dalam air limbah 33,86 mg/l turun menjadi 8 mg/l dan konsentrasi deterjen (MBAS) 12 mg/l turun menjadi 2,6 mg/l.

           Dengan demikian efisiensi penghilangan BOD 96 %, COD 92,8 %, Total zat padat tersuspensi (SS) 98,8 %, Ammonia 76,2 % dan deterjen (MBAS) 78 %. Hasil anailasa kualitas air limbah sebelum dan sesudah pengolahan seperti terlihat pada tabel berikut.

VIII. PENUTUP

           Berdasarkan hasil pengamatan selama lebih dari empat bulan opersi, pengolahan air limbah rumah sakit dengan sistem kombinasi proses biofilter Anaerob-Aerob mempunyai beberapa keunggulan antara lain yakni :

• Efisiensi pengolahan cukup tinggi.
• Pengelolaannya sangat mudah.
• Biaya operasinya rendah.

For an upcoming project in Indonesia Mott MacDonald is tendering for, we are looking for a WWTP Construction Supervisor in Makassar.

Background of the Metropolitan Sanitation Management Investment Project (MSMIP):
The Metropolitan Sanitation Management Investment Project (MSMIP) will provide improved urban wastewater services in five major cities in Indonesia: Cimahi, Jambi, Makassar, Palembang and Pekanbaru. The project will provide first time off-site sewerage and wastewater treatment facilities for the Central Business District of the Cities. The MSMIP responds to the needs of these urban communities, including low-income households, by, developing new systems, improving governance and building local institutional capacity for community-based and government-owned wastewater service providers and the regional governments.
For this assignment funded by the Asian Development Bank, you will be part of a team whose role will be to provide project implementation support to Indonesia government officials for the MSMIP in four of the five cities (Cimahi, Jambi, Makassar and Pekanbaru) in the following six main services:

a) Project Management and Coordination.
b) Project Performance Monitoring.
c) Reporting and Design.
d) Procurement and Contracting.
e) Construction Supervision, and
f) Social Development and Safeguards Compliance.

A Central Support Team will be based in Jakarta with separate Local Support Teams in Cimahi, Jambi, Makassar and Pekanbaru.

Job Description
Tasks of the WWTP Construction Supervisor are, among others:

• Suggest changes to processes as is appropriate.
• Close liaison with city mechanical engineers and electrical engineers.
• Provide assistance and overview to city teams for the construction of concrete water retaining structures and pump stations.
• Daily supervision of works by the contractor(s) at the city WWTP.
• Monitor WWTP construction progress and ensure quality and timeliness of the deliverables / outputs.
• Measure, check and certify completed works against original detailed designs.
• Monitor and report that the Project works are carried out in accordance with ADB environmental, labor, safety, social and resettlement safeguards and policies; Prepare monthly project progress reports describing the physical progress of each subproject for use by the City Office Leader, highlighting impediments to the quality and progress of the works and remedial actions.
• Other tasks as assigned by the Team Leader or the City Office Leader.

Candidate Specification
Requirements:

• Bachelor degree in civil / environmental / sanitary engineering.
• A minimum of 15 years professional experience.
• 10 years of experience with the design / construction of water retaining structures such as those at wastewater or water treatment plants.
• Experience in the construction of earthen lagoons (ponds) is highly desirable.

Input will be 12 months intermittent over 3 years. Input will be on freelance basis.
